International Conference on Economics, Business and Technology Management (ICEBTM 2025)
The International Conference on Economics, Business and Technology Management (ICEBTM 2025), organized by the School of Business and Entrepreneurship (SBE), Independent University, Bangladesh, was held on 14–15 November 2025 at The Westin, Dhaka. The two-day event successfully brought together over 300 participants from more than 12 countries, including the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, India, Poland, and the UAE, creating a truly international platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
The insightful conference program featured 5 keynote speeches, 8 industry talks, 3 invited speaker sessions, 25 parallel sessions, and 2 academia–industry discussions, addressing emerging topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Supply Chain Management, Green Business and Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Innovation. The sessions offered participants multiple opportunities to present research, engage in discussions, and establish meaningful connections across academia and industry.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Chief Guest, Dr. Hossain Zillur Rahman, Executive Chairman of PPRC; Guest of Honor, Mr. Syed Nasim Manzur, Chairman of Apex Footwear Ltd.; and Special Guests, Mr. Didar A. Husain, Chairman, Board of Trustees, IUB; Prof. Dr. M. Tamim, Vice Chancellor, IUB; and Prof. Dr. Daniel W. Lund, Pro-Vice Chancellor, IUB. The presence of Honorary General Chair, Prof. Dr. Raisul Awal Mahmood, and General Chair, Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib, highlighted the vision and leadership behind ICEBTM 2025.
The conference began with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Raisul Awal Mahmood, who emphasized the significance of ICEBTM 2025 as a global platform for exchanging knowledge and fostering collaboration across economics, business, and technology.
Prof. Dr. Daniel W. Lund, the honorable Pro Vice-Chancellor of IUB, highlighted the significance of academic conferences in promoting learning, collaboration, and professional networking. He encouraged participants to engage actively in the sessions and make the most of the opportunity to interact with fellow scholars and industry experts.
Mr. Didar A. Husain, esteemed Chairman, Board of Trustees of IUB, spoke on the need for continuous learning and adaptation in a fast-changing global environment. He underscored the importance of remaining open to new ideas, both for individuals and institutions, to maintain relevance and resilience.
In his address as Chief Patron, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. M. Tamim reflected on the role of emerging technologies in shaping the future of business and education by addressing the growing influence of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies on education, business, and society. He highlighted the challenges and opportunities posed by technological advancements and emphasized the need for research that addresses contemporary economic and social issues.
Guest of Honour Mr. Syed Nasim Manzur highlighted the importance of academia–industry collaboration for sustainable national development. He noted Bangladesh’s transition toward a more innovation-driven economy and emphasized the value of conferences like ICEBTM in preparing the nation for global challenges.
The highlight of the inauguration was the keynote address by Chief Guest Dr. Hossain Zillur Rahman, who reflected on shared challenges across the Global South and acknowledged the pivotal role of conferences in expanding collective knowledge. His address set an inspiring tone for the subsequent sessions, motivating participants to pursue research that addresses pressing global challenges.
In his concluding remarks, General Chair Prof. Dr. Md. Mamun Habib expressed sincere appreciation to all participants, collaborators, sponsors, media partners, and the hospitality team. Prof. Habib highlighted the distribution of conference proceedings in both book format and USB format (ISBN 978-984-35-5270-9), showcasing the rich academic contributions presented during the event. The inauguration concluded with the formal unveiling of the conference proceedings, marking the official commencement of ICEBTM 2025 and reflecting Prof. Habib’s commitment to fostering a global platform for academic excellence and knowledge exchange.
Throughout the two days, ICEBTM 2025 offered a robust platform for academics, researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to share insights, exchange ideas, and foster collaborations. The conference successfully bridged the gap between research and industry practice while providing valuable opportunities for learning, networking, and knowledge dissemination.
